“The idea of formulating a birth plan is a scary proposition, especially as a first time mom, during COVID. After reading countless books and spending many hours in an internet rabbit hole, my partner and I made a plan…to not plan. We were prepared to go with the flow. We didn’t have a music playlist, a specific plan for pain management, or even thought what to pack. That was until my 38wk appointment. I found out my son was breech and had a C-section scheduled for the following Monday. I had mentally prepared to “go with the flow” in a normal birthing situation, but a C-section was NEVER in the cards. I panicked. Really, spiraled. That was until Jeanne came over and walked me through the details of what a C-section was. She allowed me to lead the conversation, asking questions; good, bad, and very scary. The conversation we had, gave me the tools to understand - day of - what was happening. Because of her experience, insight, and candor talking about every detail, I was prepared for every step of the process. Its because of Jeanne that I didn’t panic during the C-section, even when my chest got heavy and I felt like I wasn’t breathing. She had prepared me for this. It is with all the gratitude in the world that I give praise and wholeheartedly recommend working with Jeanne. She is kind, soft-spoken, genuine, and truly no nonsense. Thank you Jeanne! I couldn’t have done it without you!”

“Jeanne was an invaluable resource throughout both of my pregnancies.  Whenever I became uneasy about something, my husband suggested that I speak with Jeanne---and every time I came away feeling informed and assured.

During my second pregnancy, our baby boy was in the breech position at 35 weeks, and Jeanne provided invaluable guidance and set expectations for my upcoming external cephalic version (ECV) procedure.  She kept everything factual but upbeat, and I went into the procedure with much more confidence and comfort.  I could not have done it without her encouragement. Many many thanks for being there for us!”

“Jeanne was an invaluable resource during the birth of our children. As overwhelmed and exhausted new parents, she provided the direction we needed. Jeanne was the person we turned to for all of our questions on breastfeeding, schedules, sleeping and any other general concerns.

Her advice was detailed, reassuring and comforting. She was extremely responsive and always available for us. We can’t recommend her enough!”

“Preparing for labor & delivery by taking sessions with Jeanne was one of the best ways to ensure we felt confident and knowledgeable about what my husband and I were about to experience at the hospital. Jeanne was extremely warm, friendly, nurturing and knowledgeable from the start. She was very flexible and easy to work with in order to coordinate sessions and she really took the time to get to know both my husband and me, what our goals were, and set us up for success to be prepared and advocate for ourselves when it came time to head to the hospital. Jeanne talked us through the entire process, from what to expect logistically/administratively, to what our nurse/doctor experience would be like, to the process of induction, natural birth, epidurals and c-sections. Even after our sessions, Jeanne continued to check in on us to see how we were doing leading up to our baby being born and even took the time to hop on the phone and talk through more questions we had as we were preparing to head to the hospital for a scheduled induction. Because of that, we knew exactly what to expect and she even touched base with me during the day as I was in labor and talked me through. I felt like I had an extra support person, with a wealth of experience and knowledge, in my corner during the process and couldn’t have been more thankful for the experience. I am so happy we had the chance to work with Jeanne in the weeks leading up to our baby being born and I would highly recommend working with her to any woman/families in order to feel empowered, confident and in the know on the real process of labor and delivery. Thank you, Jeanne!”
